WELCOMING REBECCA BILBRO AS HEAD OF DATA SCIENCE

Over the past year, we’ve been adding incredible talent to both our go-to-market and tech teams, including our recent announcements of Parbinder Dhariwal as SVP of Sales and Business Development, Daniel Jolicoeur as CTO, and Alex Mitchell as CPO. Today we are thrilled to announce another addition to the ICX Media leadership team: Rebecca Bilbro has joined as our Head of Data Science.


Rebecca will be leading the growing Data Science team at ICX Media as we continue to pioneer the future of Data Inspired Storytelling for brands, agencies and media companies. We are excited to have her at the helm as we engineer cutting-edge video intelligence solutions to help our clients address their most pressing business needs.


Rebecca has enjoyed a dynamic career in the Data Science field working both in the private sector and for the U.S. government. Before joining ICX Media, Rebecca led the data science team at ByteCubed, an Arlington-based consulting firm, building custom data solutions for government and private sector clients using machine learning and natural language processing. Prior to ByteCubed, Rebecca served as a Data Scientist for the US Commerce Department as part of a team of entrepreneurs and data scientists from across the government and Silicon Valley charged with incorporating state-of-the-art techniques to make government more impactful, targeted, and cost-effective.


Rebecca is passionate about the intersection of data science and daily life, and in addition to her impressive technical acumen, she is also a speaker, open source contributor, author, and teacher. Rebecca covers the ways that analysts can tap into natural language as a uniquely rich data source in her recent book Applied Text Analysis with Python: Enabling Language-Aware Data Products with Machine Learning. And later this month, she’ll be talking about how machine learning and data science can be leveraged to augment human abilities on stage at DC DataCon.


We are excited to see how Rebecca’s enthusiasm for tackling big problems and big data will expand and enhance our Data Science capabilities here at ICX Media. We continue to recruit world-class talent, and Rebecca will help us further our mission to bring technology and data science to video storytellers of all types; providing the data and insights that drive what we call “Data Inspired Storytelling.”  Welcome aboard Rebecca!
